A Valley House
by Aveline

There is a house,
In a valley,
Amongst the trees and the roses,
Under the setting sun,
Where the birds always sing,
The house is covered in creeper,
The Muslin curtains blow in the breeze,
Elaborately carved doors swing back and forwards,
Oak floors creak underfoot as the stars come out,
It is an old house,
A house of many secrets,
Where families have lived for generations,
Lovers have Loved then faded away into the myriad of time,
The house is dark inside,
It feels forgotten,
It is peaceful and still,
At night it is so silent,
Apart from the calling of the lone wolves,
When the sparkling moon comes out,
And the lonely girls come out to sing,
It is just a lonely old house,
In a forgotten valley.
