D: This was actually a dream I had. Creepy, huh? A lot more happened but I didn't know how to put it into words. Kirak was actually the name I dreamed but Jabril I added because i couldn't remember her name. review.

Death of soulmates.

You evolve from one life to another, learning and growing, and if you find your soulmate, shaping your future lives together. You dance the dance of love and death many times over, finding each other again and again throughout the spiral of life. But what happens if one of you changes for the worse? This is a story passed down through generations of my tribe. The story of a pair of soulmates names Kirak and Jabril and their passage toward the end of their evolution together.

Kirak and Jabril met each other in the lives they led as natives of Aztec Mexico. She, a maiden of Montezuma's court and he, a warrior with many kills under his belt. They petitioned the king for marriage but he said no on the grounds that he wanted her as his next wife. So they took the vows of soul bondage in the temple of the moon and ran just as Cortez and his troops were dismembering the Aztec race. They died several years of later of Malaria.

Their next several lives were scattered around the untamed wilderness of what is now Europe and Siberia. Each time they found each other, they remembered the past. Now, as you know, you cannot remember the past lives but these two were so intertwined with each other that they could. They've been priests, kings, queens, peasants, slaves, cousins, killers, and everything imaginable.

As they moved toward the twentieth century, their souls began to lash out at each other, searing their love and removing their souls twining from each other. Slowly they began hating each other and finding each other further and further along in their lives.

Their last life together was a violent one, full of hatred and evil. When Jabril came to find him that last time, he was already married but a violent man that beat his wife all the time and was very angry with his children. She tried to reason with him but to no avail. One of his neighbors called the police and she was arrested. He was also. When they were taking him away, the ghosts of Aztec Kirak and Jabril showed themselves. Kirak 'future' turned to Jabril 'future' and said in a hushed voice, 'the evolution has ended' and spit toward her, toward the link that bound them, severing it.

Jabril 'future' cried toward the ghosts 'I love him!' and the ghost Jabril echoed, 'So do I.' then the ghost Kirak said, 'I love you too.' But Kirak 'future' turned away and climbed into the police car and they drove away.

Jabril 'future' was left in the tender care of the ghosts and the wife of Kirak 'future', pleading to them that they had to do something, that they had to change the past because the future was wrong. But all they did was shake their head and disappear to the screaming of Jabril.

Now the tale of Kirak and Jabril has come to an end. I don't know if you believe it but its true. Trust me, I was there.

Signed,

Jabril Kartara
