Insanity is just a word

Perhaps also a double-edged sword

Thrown around and reused

For and by the abused

Am I completely and totally insane?

I know my actions are obnoxious and inane

But I only am if you are as well

There is no true test-except time-to tell

So, if I seem not quite right

And I confuse day with night

Remember-you are not right either:

You think that both are neither

Day and night, light and dark

Even cats who tend to bark

Are determined by God alone

And if he wanted to give feet to a stone

Would it be my place to say

NO! Stones are only allowed to lay!
