A poets life - oh so fragile
Her wings collapse, no matter how agile
She falls with the smashing of her heart
And soars with loves start
Hey minds eye gazes at all situations
Her meticulous study reveals all emotions
Word run from her mind to her hand
Precious words like desert sand
Seeping through fingers
Though they never linger
Pain from her heart blossoms as a black rose
To hide her feelings she strikes a pose
She goes away to be alone
She wonders why, to pain, she is so prone
Feelings and words race through her mind
She finds a pencil as she begins to unwind
She smiles contently as she finishes her poem
