~Brian~

That night, I woke up to Alyssa crying. I crawled over to her "bed", concern welling up in my heart. I loved Alyssa like I never did to anyone else. Sure, I had other girlfriends, but they only liked the concept of having a boyfriend, and the relationships never lasted more than a few days. I kissed them, but only small butterfly kisses, nothing so passionate as what me and Alyssa had.

"Darling, what are you crying about?" I asked her, looking into her eyes and wiping the tears away.

"Oh, Brian, will we ever get out of here? We can't live like this for long. What if somebody never finds us? Will we ever see our families again?" she sobbed into my shoulder.

"Alyssa, everything will turn out all right. We're together, and I love you."

Alyssa looked into my face and beamed. My head got closer to hers, and we kissed.

After about a minute, Alyssa poked me playfully. "Let's keep this PG, shall we? I do have morals, you know, and I wouldn't want to do anything stupid."

I tried to look disappointed. "All right, but you can't fight me forever!"

She laughed pushed me over towards my pine boughs. "Oh yes I can!"

Before I lied back down, I crawled back over. I picked up her hand and kissed it.

"Goodnight, my love." I whispered.

"Goodnight, Brian." She yawned. And I fell asleep the moment that my head hit the ground.
