Rabid Pink Bunnies

I sneak around the room

Searching in the farthest corner

I just know THEY'RE hiding somewhere

Little pink bunny rabbits with beady red eyes

Gnashing their cute little bunny teeth

Ready to devour me and drag me to the depths of hell-

But I find nothing. They're tricky little buggers

And can't be found easily.

I get into bed

And turn out the light

Thinking that I am safe.

But all too soon

For in the dark, I can see them

Materializing out of the shadows around me

Eyeing me with their beady red eyes

Hopping toward me, devious schemes in their cute little bunny heads

I get out of bed

And run down the hall

Waking my counselor

She comes into my room

And turns on the light

And those clever little bunnies have vanished

Have disguised themselves as chairs and other innocuous items

Lying in wait for me to turn out the light.

I climb back into bed

And turn out the light

And cower in the darkness from these adorably evil little bunnies.
