This is supposed to be a little Christmas poem. It used to be just homework but my teacher liked it, so I think others hopefully will like it, too. I wanted it to rhyme so the text is sometimes kind of clumsy. Sorry about that.
You will soon see why the title is called what it's called.
Ps: "Playmobil" is a children's toys trademark.
Only for the rich?
Once in a year
It's Christmas.
No one has to be in fear,
No one has to shed a tear.
Many years ago
I got those Playmobil toys,
And with my happiest voice
I wanted to show
My rellies my joy 'bout the gifts
And how much this feeling lifts
Me up into the sky
Where I wanted to fly.
But other Christmasses were there,
(is there a plural form of it?)
One was a cold 'n fair night
With snow being nicely white
And a really happy kid.
At that Christmas Eve I got my precious stones,
I just shouted many 'Wows'.
To thank mum 'n granny I filled the house
With calm and melodious tones.
Bad Christmas? I can't think of one.
There's always been lots of fun,
Of course, the presents mustn't miss
Filling my soul with bliss.
On Christmas we think of family and friends
And forget the bad things in our lives,
We celebrate and dance,
But we forget the poor ones, too
'Cause we don't wanna see how they suffer
How their environment gets rougher.
Rich people buy expensive cars
Or villas they don't need.
With such things they plant the seed
To ruin the poorest people.
Why don't they donate their money?
These people don't want computers,
Diamonds or a pool.
The kids wanna go to school,
The adults want a plain job
And don't wanna play the rich ones' tools.
Don't Christmas ought to be
A festival for everyone?
Do you like it? I'd be very happy if you reviewed. Thanks for reading.
