A Mother's Day Poem
You have always been there for us when we needed you the most,
But today is now your day and we are going to be your hosts.
To show all the things that you have done to help us out,
Also not to mention the things that made us pout.
Here's a little list of things with some pictures too,
To better demonstrate the meaning of this note to you:
I can still remember the days on the beach when the wind was blowing hard,
Catching things that were adrift and sending them afar.
The nights when we stayed up late to study for a test,
Only to end with us taking time for just a little rest.
Sitting in the corner, waiting for our time outs to end,
But deciding to crawl away and get out of it instead.
The picnics that we helped you pack for,
Only to end up with the food on the floor.
And all those restless nights of tossing and turning,
Only to wake up on the floor in the morning.
Here we are now, almost grown and out of your hair,
One of these days you will be wondering whether we will be here or there.
But you can always remember this little poem,
that was given to you from your little Sagey and Ro.
