"Memory of a Sunken City"

Sprinkling blue-white crystals
Into the ocean deep,
Azure skies tell of a world
Hidden under a clustering of breathless stars.

Dissolved into soft betrayal,
Washed away into the fading blue
Of the universe...
Ageless clouds quietly formed their tears.

Eyes, glacier white and bright,
Pink touch of a fairy queen;
Mountains and streams,
Looked forever on to the world of man.

Thousands of years had past.
Cities now stand where forests fell.
Cries of the vast blue waters never since
Reached by living hand.

Waking up
Feeling sad, feeling wistful

Closing my eyes,
Prayers swirled like a loose tail,
Of a comet went ablazed
A brilliance that could shine - only for so long.

Deep in my heart - I know. I know.
They -the people- never left us. The city and its children are still there.
Smiling and laughing. They run with the dolphins -
under clear water waves.

I opened my eyes - a tear fell.

What is this dream?

=====
This poem is based on a true dream I had. I woke up with dry tears on my cheek, though I didn't know the reason until later. Here, it's more embellished, though. Anyway, thank you so much for reading. You have no idea how much it means to me.
