Headlight shine in my eyes
I feel the force of the other car slamming into mine
Sitting in pain I think about you
And all the times we shared together
Laughing, running, playing, smiling
Remembering all the fun we had
Then I thought about when I last saw you
It was so long ago
The memory is faded
I wish I could have saved you
But now I can't even save myself
Is this how you had felt?
Helpless and scared
But also somehow light and content
Maybe I'll see you soon once again
