You woke up in the morning
Smell the home cooked meal
Scrambled eggs and bacon
Orange juice and milk
Mom and dad shower you with kisses
Mom ask if you need money
Dad quickly gives you 20
In your new car you go to school
The alarm clock makes a noise
You pop up out of bed
Just to find out all the wonderful things
Was in a picture perfect world
You finally realize it's not real
That picture perfect world
Comes and goes like the wind that blows
And rain that falls
Coming unpredictably, no one knows when
When it comes, it never stays for long
Letting you believe that it will be here
But when your hope is so high
It goes away
Leaving you behind
Wondering why you're standing there
In this plain unperfected world
