A/N: This is a poem I wrote for a FORMER best friend who will NEVER read this because I won't let her and she probably won't want to. Hope you enjoy.

Memories

Remember the time you said you hated me?

You know you really didn't

You were just trying to impress people

And it worked.

Remember the time we used to be "Best Friends"?

We would hand out every weekend

Your mother became my mom,

And my mom became yours.

Remember the time I sank to the bottom of your pool?

Because I wasn't a very good swimmer.

You jumped in and fished me out,

Like the hero of the day.

Remember those pictures we took?

Of us posing as models

I still have those somewhere

I look back and laugh.

Remember the time we went to the zoo?

And we were afraid of that camel?

We thought he was going to spit

So we ran away screaming.

My parents laughed.

Remember the time my grandfather died?

You called me to ask what happened.

You said some comforting words,

One I still remember.

Remember "Knock Knock"?

And how we were afraid to go to sleep?

Your dog started barking

And scared us to death.

Remember the time we were once friends?

Or how it all changed by one rumor?

I'll never forget what you meant to me

But I know it will never be this way again.
