This is a song I wrote...don't ask me what inspired me to it. The rhyming scheme is a bit off and the metrum isn't right, but it was my first song ever and English isn't my native language, so...I would appreciate constructive criticism, though.

Black Sunshine

by Kaeera

Feel the sun, burning with black light
Into your soul, your heart, your dreams
Black sunshine, cruel, it's useless to fight
When the black shines, nothing is as it seems

The girl is walking down the street
Alone in the shadows, in the burning black light
She's crying, she's sobbing, she continues to weep
Because nothing is left, what a pitiful sight

Once she was beautiful, nice, and kind
Had many friends, was never alone
Until the sun came and destroyed her mind
Until the sun succeeded and took her soul

Feel the sun, burning with black light
Into your soul, your heart, your dreams
Black sunshine, cruel, it's useless to fight
When the black shines, nothing is as it seems

Black sunshine, burning holes in her skin
Without any warmth, just the cold feel of death
There's no chance to fight, she can never win
She's helpless, she's hopeless, she's caught in his wrath

What has she done to earn such a fate?
She was like the others, so carefree and young
Now she has aged, disappeared, it's too late
And it's all the fault of a single cruel man

Feel the sun, burning with black light
Into your soul, your heart, your dreams
Black sunshine, cruel, it's useless to fight
When the black shines, nothing is as it seems
