The calm after the storm!

"Mom can I buy an ice cream?" Joshua Wicker, a tiny five years old cried through the door. Hoping his mother would let him; he walked in and ran around looking for her. "Mom, MOM!" he yelled. Turning a corner he found his mom on his father's lap, her back facing Joshua. Joshua could feel his jaw drop, as he looked at his mother and father on the couch, KISSING!

"EWWWW!" he screeched in disgust. Hope Wicker turned around and stared in bemusement at her son. She slowly crawled off her husband's lap and walked up to him, digging in her pocket she pulled out a couple of coins and handed it to her son. "Thank you!" squealed Joshua, as he ran off.

Hope turned back to her husband and smiled deviously at him. Garret Wicker got off the couch and casually strolled over to his beloved wife. "Now where were we!" he growled flirtatiously. Hope giggled as he wrapped his arms around her waist. She encircled her arms around his neck and pulled him closer to kiss him.

Okay so things seem a little too perfect now but think of this as the calm after the storm, instead of before. I mean the calm before the storm was when Garret and Hope were carefree teenagers, then the storm came along. A storm I all like to call high school.
