Zeroes and Wardogs
By R.C. Carpenter

You drive me insane
You and your aching love
You drive me utterly mad

How can you not see
With your blind, teary eyes
What you do to her?

How can you not see
In your tragic loneliness
What you do to me?

She is your everything
I can never have you
Not like you are now

Pathetic and trapped
In your love
You are strong

Fortunate and free
But loving is when
You are most weak

For you know as well as I
That she dances her sweet dance
In the soft, silver moonlight

With those she's never touched
And never will

Those she's never met
And fears to

Waiting in vain
For you
For her prince to come
