"NO!"
Savin jerked awake with a scream. She could feel the demon arms around, holding her tight as she tried to get away. "Let me go! Let me go!" But the arms' grasp tightened. She started to twist around, trying to get out of the grasp that held her captive. Soon the vision of darkness and demons disappeared to reveal the lake and Jon staring down at her.
"Savin?"
She reached up and wrapped her arms around his neck, pulling him into a close embrace. Her body shook in fear, as if it was going to explode. "Oh my god! Oh my god! Is it really you, Jon? Please, tell me it's really you!"
Jon clutched onto Savin, holding her in a tight embrace. "Yes, it's really me. Shh...it's okay now. You're safe." He ran his fingers through her wet hair, resting his chin on top of her head. Her body convulsed and heaved under her tears. He had never seen her this shook up. Her skin and clothing were drenched with water and sweat, her skin even paler that what it was before. Her face was twisted in pain but her hazel eyes stared up at him with an intensity that he had never seen before.
Her tears diminished and she smiled up at him with her bright smile and lifted her hand to his face. "You shouldn't be moving around," he stated cautiously.
She smiled and put her hand up on his cheek and started to rub it affectionately. "I know." Savin tried to sit up but fell back down from exhaustion. Her body shook violently as it went slowly into shock.
Jon moved a few strands of brunette hair out of her face. "Just take it easy, okay. Everything is going to be fine."
A couple of small coughs escaped her throat. She shook her head and closed her eyes slowly. "No, nothings going to be okay. Not if these dreams are real. Not if what that...that thing said is real. I'm destined to save the world, you know. Not this world, another world. The world in my dreams, my home..."
Jon pulled Savin closer to him and kissed her on the forehead. "Come on, let's get you home before you have anymore of these visions." She nodded slightly as he picked her up into his arms.

The walk home was a slow and painful one. Jon's arms grew tired from carrying Savin all of that way and she was still shivering really bad. He walked up to her stoop and knocked on the door, hoping that someone was home. Nobody answered the door.
"Guess nobody's home." He nudged his friend slightly. "Where's the key?" She pointed to its hiding place. He leaned her up against the side of the house and grabbed the key, unlocking the door to let themselves in.
The house was dark and empty. I wonder where her family is? I know her parents work late but Andy isn't even home. "Did your parents have to work late?" All he got was a muffled answer that he couldn't understand. "Where's Andy? At a friend's house?" His friend shrugged her tired shoulders. He let out a sigh of defeat. "Let's get you to bed."
Jon made his way down the hallway towards her bedroom. He felt kind of awkward, bringing his sick friend to her own bedroom. At least Naomi isn't here to see this, he thought to himself. He opened the door and walked into the room, setting her down on her bed.
"Um...you still awake?"
A muffled "uh huh" was all he got for an answer.
"You do realize that you're soaking wet?"
A nod. Jon let out a frustrated sigh. She's gonna kill me if she wakes up.
He started to unbutton Bob's flannel when she started to stir. "What ya doin'?" she asked sleepily.
He gulped. "Getting these wet clothes off of you."
"Oh."
He looked at her with astonishment. "Oh?" That's all she has to say? Man, she must be in a real mess. "You're okay with this?"
Another shrug with the following of another frustrated sigh. "Women," he muttered under his breath. He continued with stripping her out of her wet clothes until she was only in her under garments. He envelope her body with blankets and sat down on the bed next to her. She shivered slightly as his cold hand touched her bare shoulder, rubbing it gently.
"Jon?"
"Yeah?"
"Can you stay here until I fall asleep?"
He smiled slightly at her request. "Sure, no problem."
He pulled the blankets up on her and lay down slowly next to her on the bed. He rubbed her back lightly, tracing his fingers over the blanket. She let out a pleasant sigh and closed her eyes, letting sleep slowly claim her. "Jon?"
"Hmm..."
"It's cold in here."
He put his arm around her body, leaning his body into hers to warm her up. She wrapped an arm around his and snuggled up closer to his body. She let out a sigh and closed her eyes. He looked at her, a worried expression on his face.
"You okay?" he whispered in her ear.
She just started to laugh quietly. He's really worrying about me.
Savin rolled over, put her arms around Jon's neck, and kissed him on the forehead. His eyes went wide in surprise. He didn't expect that from her. But then again...he was doing that to her all night.
"What was that for?"v\
She smiled and leaned into him. "That's for taking care of me. I don't know if I'd be sane right now if it wasn't for you."
"How you feeling?"
"Cold and a little light headed. I think it's from the lack of sleep, though."
Jon wrapped his arms around Savin and held her close. "You wouldn't believe how scared I was when you dropped down into the lake. I thought that I had really lost you there for a second."
She looked into his eyes, studying their grey-blue depths until she lost herself in them. She leaned in close against his chest, his arms finding their way around her shoulders. They embraced, and slowly she leaned in and kissed him on the lips. The warmth and the softness of their touch was exhilarating. The emotion was so strong within so simple an act, just one kiss. Finally, a mutual smile crossed their faces, and they laughed quietly in each others arms.
"I should probably go."
"Yeah."
"Are you going to be okay?"
Savin reached up and touched his face. "Don't worry. I'll be fine. Just give me an extra blanket before you leave."
Jon grabbed another blanket and put it on her. He moved a few loose strands from her face and gave her a kiss on the cheek.
"You get some sleep, okay?"
"Okay."
He pulled the blankets up on her and gave her another kiss. Savin smiled shyly. "Good night, Jon," she whispered before he left the room.
He turned around to stare at her. "Good night, Savin. Sweet dreams, and I mean that." She nodded in response and slowly closed her eyes. He watched her for a moment longer before he turned and left the room and the house.
