After Math
Gabrielle woke up to a small, bright light shining in her eye. She fluttered her eyes, wishing the annoying light would go away. Of course, such a thing wouldn't make the light go away, so she turned over to her other side. She yawed and looked lazily at the man lying next to her.
She smiled and twisted a lock of his brown hair around her fingers, just like the night before. She then let go, and sat up, holding the sheets to her as she rose. Gabrielle sighed and looked at a clock that sat on a small table in one corner of the room. It was 6:00 AM.
"I suppose I'll be going back," she whispered to herself, glancing back down at the slumbering William. She smiled again and silently climbed over William, who was in her way of her dress, carelessly dropped on the floor.

"Good morning, Princess Gabrielle," said the King, as Gabrielle sat down next to George at the table for late breakfast at 11:25 AM.
"And where were YOU last night?" George hissed in a whisper directed at Gabrielle. Gabrielle smirked to herself and neglected to answer her husband's question.
George brushed off his agitation, for now. . .

Gabrielle sat in front of her mirror braiding her own hair, since she allowed Christine a day off-to cool off.
She tied off her braid and was about to get up until George entered their chambers. The princess didn't bother looking at him, but continued to look at her reflection in the mirror. She knew he had something to say, so might as well be seated if he was going to go into a lecture.
"I wish to know where you were last night," George said, a hint of impatience in his voice, as he closed the door behind him and looked over at Gabrielle.
"I was out doing errands," she said nonchalantly, while she decided to pick up a brush and admire its gold features (yes a golden hair brush).
"Don't lie to me," George said, catching her tone.
Gabrielle dropped the brush on the table and darted her eyes toward the prince. "Then don't lie to me!" she exclaimed.
"And what is THAT supposed to mean?" George said, storming towards Gabrielle. Gabrielle leaned back as her husband was soon right in her face in a matter of seconds.
"Should you really ask? You of all people should know that you-"
"ANSWER MY FIRST QUESTION!"
Gabrielle was taken aback.
"Tell me! Or I can send you to the stocks for the rest of your days!"
Gabrielle's eyes narrowed. "I'm just giving you a taste of the pain and heart break you've caused me!"
"What?"
"YOU HEARD ME!"
George's face became flushed with red.
"Oooo! Embarrassed that I should know your secret? You seriously thought you could hide it from me forever?" Gabrielle questioned.
George came back to reality. "Well a man has a right to do these things! Especially a royal nobleman such as myself!" He smirked.
"Well I have my rights too!" Gabrielle retorted.
George was greatly upset by this. "You slept with someone didn't you?" he said, leaning in closer to Gabrielle's face. He only needed to look in her eyes for the truth.
"How could you?" George growled under his breath.
"Like I said before-"
"WITH WHO?" the prince exclaimed.
"That's none of YOUR business!" Gabrielle got up from the chair and stood next to it, as George stared at the empty chair in anger.
George became so infuriated that he stood up and tossed the chair out of the way and walked toward Gabrielle, picking her up by her neck and holding her against the nearest wall.
"YOU WILL TELL ME THE NAME OF THAT BASTARD YOU SLEPT WITH!" George exclaimed.
Gabrielle was scared for her life, she kept clawing at hand and arm with her nails, but George seemed to be immune to whatever pain they were inflicting upon him.
"TELL ME!"
"I-will-will n-not t-tell!" she gasped for air.
To Gabrielle's relief, George released her, letting her fall to the floor. Gabrielle clasped her hands to her neck wishing for some of its pain to go away. She thought the ordeal was over, until George kneeled down to her level with a smirk.
"Fine, I can deal with that," George began. "I'm sending you to the dungeon for the rest of your days!"
Gabrielle shrunk to the wall, shaking her head. "N-No you won't! What will you tell the king and queen?" she questioned with a small smile, hoping his plan would back fire.
"I'll just tell them what I found out! Simple as that! And even without out them finding out MY little secret," George explained.
Gabrielle's eyes shed a few more tears, her only reply to George's plan. George stood up and exited the room. Gabrielle knew he'd be back in a few minutes with several guards ready to take her down to the dungeon.
"I've got to escape," she thought to herself. She stood up weakly and exited her chambers out to her balcony.
