In The End Ch.1 Disclaimer: I don't own the song "Last Kiss". All characters are original. Also, there will be a different song/quote from a song every chapter.

*5 years later*
"I miss you so much honey," Allen said. He was on the road, as usual, with business. This he was completely across the country in Seattle.
"I miss you too. When will you be home," Christine asked.
"Next week, probably Wednesday night," he told her. "It depends on the weather though. You know, snow delays or whatever. Not to mention the airport will be a mob since it's the week of Christmas."
"Well I hope you arrive safely. There's already an inch or so of snow here, but it's mostly all slush."
"You be careful too, Christine, when you're driving."
"Don't worry about me. I'll be fine," she assured Allen. "Oh did I tell you about." *Wednesday*
Christine glanced at her watch for about the millionth time. Six PM. Only an hour until Allen's plane would be arriving at the airport. She'd decided that she would surprise him at the airport.
"Oh screw it. I'm leaving now. Besides traffic might be bad," she said to herself, grabbing her car keys and heading out the door.
The roads were icier that normal, Christine noticed. So she decided to go a little slower that she usually would have. There were patches of black ice everywhere, but at this hour, they couldn't really be spotted.
Christine turned on the radio and "Last Kiss" came on. She hummed along to the words as she drove along: "Oh where oh where can my baby be The lord took her away from me She's gone to heaven so I got to be good So I can see my baby when I leave this world We were out on a date in my daddy's car We hadn't driven very far There in the road strait up there A car was stalled the engine was dead I couldn't stop so I swerved to the right I'll never forget the sound that night The screaming tires the busting glass The painful scream that I heard last Oh where oh where can my baby be The lord took her away from me She's gone to heaven so I got to be good So I can see my baby when I leave this world When I woke up the rain was pouring down There were people standing all around Something warm flowing through my eyes But somehow I found my baby that night I lifted her head she looked at me and said Hold me darling just a little while I held her close I kissed her our last kiss I found the love that I knew I had missed Well now she's gone even though I hold her tight I lost my love my life that night Oh where oh where can my baby be The lord took her away from me She's gone to heaven so I got to be good So I can see my baby when I leave this world Woh (x4) Ohh (x4)"

At that moment, Christine started across an intersection. All of a sudden, another car collided with the side of Christine's car, causing the car to spin out of control into a nearby tree. There was a sicken crunch. When the car hit the tree, it had caused a branch already heavy with snow to fall on top of the car. The other car skidded to a stop not to far away and the driver ran to Christine's car, while dialing 911 on his cell phone. "Hello, I am at the intersection of Main and River. A car spun out of control into a tree and a branch fell on top. I don't think the driver is conscious. I need an ambulance here right away." *Later* There were ambulance lights and police car lights flashing everywhere. Two paramedics were getting Christine out of the car while police questioned the other driver. "When did you arrive at the scene?" the officer asked. "I caused the scene," the driver answered. "I ran a stop sign and collided with the other car." "Well after the hospital checks you out then we'll have to take you down to the station." *Paramedics* "Ma'am can you hear us?" "Yes," whispered Christine. "Remain calm. We'll bring you to the hospital and get you fixed up." "Tell." Christine started. "Tell Allen where I am." "Who's Allen?" "My husband. He's at the airport..."and she fainted. The sirens blared as the ambulance pulled away and drove quickly to the hospital.
