Breathless, I said, "Fine, fine. . ."
She stared at me for a second, but then returned her concentration to driving. Why did the glasses make her look like an alien. . . These glasses were very strange. . .
When I got home, I went straight to the mirror in my room. Shivering, I tried the glasses on again. At first, I closed my eyes, but I knew I had to open them. I peered at the person in the mirror. It did not look a thing like me! But not crazy or scary. . . Instead, it was a girl with curly blond hair, blue eyes, and freckles. There were glasses on her face, but not the crazy ones. These glasses were normal. Copper frames. Clear lenses.
I do not look like this girl. I have straight dark brown hair, brown eyes, and I don't freckle, I tan. And of course the glasses, but you know about those.
I was staring at the girl in the mirror, wondering how she had come to be, and if she was a real person somewhere, when I noticed something. My mirror is on my closet door, so I would expect to see clothes in the background. . . But. . . What I saw wasn't clothes. . . Instead, I saw. . . Fishing equipment!? That was so weird, I turned around. There was fishing equipment behind me! I have never went fishing in my life! I pick up a fishing pole, I actually could feel it. Fishing pole in hand, I took the glasses off. That was odd. . . I was holding a T-shirt and it did NOT feel like a fishing pole anymore. THIS IS TOO WEIRD!
