But I Remember Too

By Estel Elendil

Disclaimer: The idea for this poem comes from a poem called "November Remembers" by my best friend Deathly Dark. I don't think she has it posted here but its on her site, check it and all the rest of her stuff. This is sort of a sequel poem to it.

November remembers

But I remember too

Both of you have left

Done what I'm too scared to do

All of our days

Together, friends

But you left me behind

When you went to your ends

You died for each other

Must have forgot about me

That wasn't supposed to happen

It's not meant to be

Was I meant to follow

Did you think I would know

If I was meant to come with you

When you both left to go

But now you're both gone

Lay deep in your grave

I should be beside you

But I'm not that brave

I needed you both

To keep me going on

But you still keep me going

Even now that you're gone

I keep your memory alive

It's all I can do

Because November might remember

But I remember too
