Hey, everybody! This is my first fiction that I've ever shown anybody, so bear with me here. I tend to write what I want and that can sometimes get kind of strange. If you have any suggestions or ideas for what can happen in the story later on, I will give you credit for it. Thanks and enjoy! (
Chapter one
Caro followed Jake up the stairs to his bedroom, sending a cheerful smile to his little sister as she mentally fumed. The two of them need to go somewhere private to talk before she lost it completely and killed him right in front of the small girl. Caro did 'not' want to emotionally scar the poor girl for life; Jake was an entirely different ball game and she really wouldn't mind giving him a scar or two.
She had gone on vacation, there shouldn't have been a problem, but no, Jake just couldn't behave himself when she wasn't there. Oh, was she going to get him for this. She had left feeling drained and horrible from the school year and had come home feeling wonderful. Well, she had felt wonderful until she had seen Jessica Nores with her "darling" Jake. At the present moment in time "faithful" was not a word that Caro was willing to use for describing Jake; handsome, intelligent, strong. Oh, she was going to kill him for this. They finally made it to his bedroom and he closed the door behind them, just in time to muffle the stream of insults that were presently issuing from Caro's mouth in his direction. "You jerk, how could you do this to me? I can't believe that I trusted you to be honest with me," she raged.
"What are you talking about?"
'Hold on, I'm taking "intelligent" out of the list of words with which to describe Jake,' she thought. "You cheated on me with Jessica Nores and you expect me to forgive you? You thought you could fool me, you huge pain in the ass. How could you do this to me?"
"How could I do this to you? How could you do this to me?" replied Jake in an enraged voice. "Even if you have proof that I wasn't completely innocent while you were away, you know no one matters more to me than you do, Caro, you know that."
"Oh, she means nothing to you? Well then, let's just see what she has to say about it."
"No, don't you dare."
"So, she does mean something, huh? Did you have a little fun while I was away, you. you.. oh."
"Come on Caro, what did you expect me to do, you haven't been around much lately. Did you think I wouldn't notice?"
"Notice what, Jake? How did you notice anything? From what I've been told, you were very preoccupied with Jessica in the park most of the time lately."
Jake gave her a look that said more than he could say. Caro stared him in the face, daring him to contradict her. He said nothing in return as she flung open the door and stormed down the stairs, past Jake's little sister, and out the front door to her car.
Caro groaned in frustration and anger as her car battery shudder and died out. Angrily, she started the long walk home, a total of at least three miles. Her stonewashed jeans made a swishing sound as her legs brushed against each other. Caro was gad that she had chosen her favorite burgundy, spaghetti strap tank top. It clung in just the right places and fit her thin form well, as it moved with her body like a second skin.
The weather was hot and the shirt was keeping her somewhat cooler than she would have been in any other kind of outfit. Her dark eyes flashed as her anger ebbed and flowed through her. At that moment she hated, her now ex- boyfriend, Jake.
Caro heard a faint rumbling sound that was growing louder, behind her. She turned and stopped dead as a figure came riding up to her on a gleaming black vintage Harley Davidson motorcycle. He wore black jeans, black jacket, black boots, and black hair. She couldn't quite make out his eyes from behind the dark glasses he wore in the swiftly dying light. He was the fantasy guy to almost every girl she knew. It didn't really matter who he was at that moment, she wasn't happy to see him at all.
