Bees in the Grass; The path that turns

Her golden eyes scanned the area, taking in everything in the room. It was crowded with books, and boxes. The new councilor was moving in today. Anieya sighed to herself and sat down in the black comfort chair. Crossing her feet at the ankles and tucking them underneath the chair she waited.

Tick. tick.. Tock..

The golden eyed girl closed her eyes and waited more. She got the feeling it would be a while. New councilers always got lost. Always. No way around it. Not a single way around it. They always, got lost.

Tick. tick. Tock.

Slowly she opened her eyes and glanced around the room. She glared at the clock as it clicked annoyingly along in time. Shaking her head she sighed. No one understood time. Time. It wasn't eternal. It was time. It didn't move. It wasn't linear. Frowning she closed her eyes again. Suddenly Breya came to her and showed something. Something she didn't want to see.

Suddenly Anieya was in Breya's world. The ground was drenched in something. Something dark and wet. It smelled terrible. She covered her nose with the overly long sleeve of her black sweater. Trying to block the horrible stench. But it wouldn't go away.

A moaning, groaning sound caught her attention. She whirled around to find a mob of sickly looking people coming towards her. Their skin was gray, and bluish. It was starting to sag off their bones. Their eyes were red and decaying.

Her breath coming faster and faster, she tried to turn and around but they were on her. Before she could even scream. Before she could ever struggle. They were on her. Tearing and ripping at her flesh. She could feel their teeth sinking into her, and pulling away her skin. One of them jammed their fingers into her eyes and started to pull.

Anieya sat up from her chair screaming as loud as she vocal cords would let her. The councilor jumped in his chair, having returned and found her sleeping. He rushed over to her. He took a hold of her shoulder, and tried to calm her. But Anieya was still in the other world. And all she saw was an enemy.

Screaming and struggling Anieya clawed her way out of his grasp and run from the room. Once out the room she paused and looked down each hall. More enemies were coming down both ways. However to her left there was only one. So she turned sharply in that direction. Her hair spun wildly and she rushed down the hall.

When she reached the enemy she pushed them down and then ran past them as fast as she could. She ran down the dark hallway. Finally coming to a door. Jerking it open she found herself in the bright sunlight.

With stingy eyes she looked away. Her breathing was a erratic. And she didn't know why. She didn't understand how she can gotten here. Closing her eyes, she couldn't remember anything. What had happened? Was it Breya? Or Artho? What had happened?
