Across the Ocean
And many miles of land
I can hear your words
Through rushing rivers
And the towering mountains
I can still feel you
In starlit twilight
And magnificent sunsets
Your voice is echoed
Though I've not seen you
I can envision your face
In the rising moon
This haiku was inspired by a quote I found:
"Sir, more than kisses, letters mingle souls. For, thus friends absent speak." ~John Donne
Thanks to my older sister for the title. I guess you could say that this haiku was written for all of you. Reviews are very much appreciated.
