And I Thank You

Thank you for the strength to carry on,
I thank you for the kind words spoken unto me,
And I thank you for the worlds beyond my own imagination,
The worlds that you have given to me so freely.

The things I do for you,
You know that I do them gladly,
Know that I do them willingly,
Allow me to finish that which I have started.

So many things are beyond my reach,
So many things I can't comprehend,
So many things are beyond the scope of who I am,
How is it that I can be what you seem to see?

Tired and waning,
I find a reason to go on in you,
Give me something to believe in,
What is it that I am missing?

Mirrored reflections in a crystal clear lake,
But ripples break the surface and mar my reflection,
Broken and distorted beyond any and all recollection,
Yet the surface will calm again in time restoring to me but a vague glimpse of who I am.

Thank you for placing your faith in me,
I thank you for the introduction of your trust in me,
And I thank you for the worlds lost and unknown,
Hidden away inside of me.
