Trading Faces

Chapter 1

I guess that most people start their stories with the basics: where they were born, how happy their childhood was, yadda yadda yadda. But I think we can just skip that part, unless you wish to be bored to tears. Everything really started five days after I turned eighteen during my senior year of high school.

I don't fit into any one group: I'm the one you see walking around the school wearing the studded belt and random band shirts, but you would never classify me as one of the "punks" as people call them. No, I'm not one to be rebellious and dye my hair pink and get an eyebrow ring. I leave that to my best friend, Matt. I'll tell you about him a bit later. But, back to me, the oh-so-wonderful subject. I've always had these big Buddy Holly glasses that I wear, because I'm practically blind. Sure, I could opt for contacts, but I figure that the glasses aren't covering up anything special, why bother? I'm just a regular looking teenager, with long brown hair and eyes to match. I'm skinny, and the exact opposite of curvaceous. I blend in to the crowd. I'm not popular, I'm not all that interesting or beautiful, but I'm happy. I'm just your average girl who's obsessed with Weezer and who has been in love with Nicholas Jay Stanley my whole life: the same boy who has been trying to win my cousin over since the second grade.

I never asked to be cursed by Looney Lily. I never asked to be thrown into my beautiful, bitchy cousin Shawna's body, and she into mine. But, what's done is done. My name is Josephine Anne Forbes, but you can call me Joey, and this is my story.

A/N: I know this is short, but it's a sort a prologue if you will. Please review and tell me what you think! I'm really very excited about this story... this is going to be a wild ride!
