Don't you see the rose petal fall? Drip down like the tap of a sink. Trickle through the air like a flowing stream. Wither away as the eternal Winter approaches. Rot into oblivion. This is my last chance for hope. The last ray of light shines through the overcast. Then the clouds shift and total darkness consumes me. But wait, a star descends upon the Earth. Glowing with the beauty of a warm Summers day. Flowers blossomed. Trees full and rich. The smell of pollen. The sound of birds chirping and bees buzzing. Taking me away from that dark place. In the star's presence I outshine the star. The sheer beauty of this creation fills me with a joy so great, it is unexplainable. Then suddenly the star departs. Leaving me in the midst of rejection. Eternal darkness. To go insane because of this total aloneness. Leaving me to die. For without light... there can be no life.
