Hey! I know I'm working on another story, but this one just popped up into my head and demanded that I write it down. So, I suppose this is the result of a busy mind that would rather write than listen to the teacher, which is what I am supposed to be listening to. I would much rather think about the different scenes in a story, than listen to something I don't really want to listen or think about. Boy, was that a couple of long sentences. Well, here's the story, enjoy. (

The Good, the Bad, and the Very Bad

Chapter 1

"Get out of my room, Lewis, you should know better by now," called a young girl as she stared at the reflection of her self and a tall man in the mirror above her dresser.

"Why? I haven't done anything, I've been well behaved," he answered with a rather distraught look on his face that was soon replaced by a grin.

"You remember why and don't act like you don't," she said, waspishly as she turned to walk past him into the corridor beyond.

Lewis grabbed her arm and pulled her to him. She kept her eyes on the floor and her body rigid. He forced her to look up at him as he began to speak, only inches from her face.

"What is the matter with you? You're not acting like yourself, Roan," he spat.

"Let me go, Lewis, I didn't do anything to you." Roan wrenched her arm away and walked down the dim corridor toward the entrance hall.

She walked through a door to her left and walked into a room furnished in a burgundy color that ranged from a light red all the way to the deep crimson of a good wine. In a large, soft looking couch against the opposite wall sat a tall man dressed in a suit. He looked up from the fireplace where he had been watching the flames dance and flicker wildly. He smiled and nodded to the cushion beside him. He watched her approach with a look in his eyes that only a man who was sure of himself could get.

She looked at him and tugged at the edge of her white peasant blows as she looked into his eyes and remembered just why had ever been attracted to him. Jeremy was just one of those guys that you couldn't help but trust. Roan leaned over and hugged him around the shoulders as the door creaked open again. Lewis stood in the doorway and stared at her as she moved to lean against Jeremy.

"Yes, Lewis, what is it?" asked Jeremy.

"I wasn't finished talking to Roan yet, Jeremy. May I borrow her for a moment?" said Lewis.

Jeremy gave her a glance and then said, "I'll leave you two to it then." He then proceeded to give Roan a peck on the cheek and close the door behind him as her closed the door.

Lewis looked Roan up and down and sighed. "Roan, what's going on? Ever since you came home you've been very, shall we say not yourself and I don't like it."

"I'm hungry, I'll be back after I've had something to eat." With that Roan rushed out the door, down the hall, and out the front door to her car.

A/N: This is just test chapter to see if anybody would be interested in reading a story about vampires and other such things. So send me some reviews and, yes, I do know that this chapter is neither long nor interesting, but I'm new at this whole letting people read stuff I write, so be nice, but still manage to be opinionated about what you want me to put in this story. I know this isn't very descriptive, but I'm only trying to set up the storyline.
