He said, "Allow me," in his sweet voice, then bent down to pick up stuff up. I never believed in love at first sight until that moment when he stood up and gazed into my eyes.
I always dreamed that my truelove would be fair with straight blonde hair and blue eyes. However, he was different. He was dark with tight curly hair and eyes as black as the night. Since he was a head taller than me I looked up and he down, he had the loveliest eyes I've ever seen.
"Will you go out with me?" he asked, his accent was not familiar but i figured he was African.
"Um...sure," I replied and he smiled. I'll never forget that smile. Without even introducing ourselves I gave him my address and told him to pick my up at six the night day.
The next day as I was looking for the perfect dress to wear I told my sister about him.
"What's he like?" she aked.
"Well, he's different from most guys," I replied.
"What is he, blonde, brunette?"
"No, he's got black hair."
"What's his name?"
"Hmm...I don't know. He never told me."
"What! You're going out with a guy whose name you don't even know!"
'I suppose so," I said "Do you think this dress would look alright?" I asked holding a blue dress in front of me.
"Yes, it looks great. It matcheds you eyes perfectly!"
"Are you sure?"
"Of course I'm sure," she said, then walked out of my room.
Just as I put my earrings on I heard the beep of a car horn from outside. Quickly I grabbed mt handbag and ran out to meet him
"Hello," I said as I entered the car.
"Good evening mademoiselle," he said. This guy was so charming.
"No need to be so formal," I told him, "By the way, what is your name?"
He replied," Kuv Yekuno."
"That's a nice name," I said and I meant it. Never in my life had I heard such a unique and beautiful name.
"My name is Kate Gilbert," I told him. By this time we had arrived in front of a fanfy French restaurant. We stepped out of the car and he escorted me to the entrance.
After ordering dinner Kuv told me that he came from South Africa. "When I was six years old in South Africa I always believed that Australians would keep kangaroos as pets and go places in their pouches. However when I got here I was rather disappointed to find that it was a lot like America."
I giggled when I heard this. We had a lovely chat until our food arrived. Then we just sat there eating.
Back at my place I askedhim, "Do you want to come in?"
"Thanks, but no thanks," he said, "It's late and I have to go home."
"Alright then, bye"
"Au revior mademoiselle," he said and gave me a quick peck on the cheek before leaving.
After that night we went out on many dates. Each time we kissed and hugged passionately and we got to know each other better. He had a great personality. All I wanted was to marry him and my wish came true.
One day when we went to a park we were just talking a susual by a lake feeding ducks. Suddenly he stood up and pullled me up with him.
"I have a question to ask you," he said as he bent down on one knee. From his pocket he brought out a small velvet box, "Will you marry me?"
"Yes, yes I'll marry you!" I was so overjoyed and excited that I hugged him really hard.
Nervously i walked down the aisle on my wedding day but when I saw Kuv at the end I felt better. The minister asked, "Do you Kuv take Kate a your lawful wedded wife?"
"I do,' Kuv said.
"Do you Kate take Kuv as you lawful wedded husband?"
I looked at his comforting eyes and replied, "I do."
"You may now kiss the bride."
We kissed a long and passionate kiss. It was like the end as well a sthe beginning og a fairy tale.
