It's not even Halloween yet, however everywhere I walk I see Christmas decorations. Big stores such as K-Mart and Wal-Mart are already stocked up with Christmas decorations. Not only that, but the stores themselves are decked out with Christmas trees, Santa Claus's and elves. Why? What is with this insane desire to push Christmas on the unsuspecting society sooner and sooner every year? Christmas is still another 2 months away, 2 MONTHS PEOPLE! Your kids haven't even gotten their damn Christmas candy yet! And it's not just the fact that starting in Mid-November we will be bombarded with Christmas music, on top of it all, but also little kids see Santa Claus's earlier and earlier every year. This is completely ruining the image of Christmas for these little kids. They don't even understand what Christmas is all about. They don't get the concrete concept of it being about Jesus and how he was born and blah blah blah, let alone get the abstract idea that Christmas is about giving. Christmas is about a time when you give to those less fortunate than you. Christmas is the time when you show your friends and family how much you love them. Christmas is the time when your slave-driving boss actually gives you time off to spend with your family, and you're all ruining it! Christmas isn't special anymore. Christmas is just like every other day of the year, except this one you get some presents. Big whoop-de-do. Look, if you want to do your kids a favor, keep your fucking Santa Claus's in their boxes until after Thanksgiving. It seems like things just keep getting worse and worse, year after year. From the time I was a little kid, until now, Christmas has lost its appeal. Some say it's because I'm getting older. I say, however, it's because it's been shoved so far down my throat that I'm suffocating. Where is that anticipation we used to long for? It's gone because everything we see starts remind us that Christmas is near clear at the beginning of October! If you want to fix this problem, you need to digress a hell of a lot. Who needs all of this commercialized crap? Christmas decorations this early is just another way of companies selling their products. They could care less if you have a holly jolly Christmas or not. Get out there and put a stop to this madness and make Christmas so that it's special for your kids like it was when you were a kid. Don't be selfish.
