"Deep in the Forest"

Deep in the forest, a forsaken house falls.
Can anyone hear it?
Only he who destroys it.
Its creator; its downfall.

Long ago it was forsaken,
Left to fend for itself.
For two decades it stood, slowly rotting,
But intact and stable still.

A mighty blow to its support
Brings it crashing to its knees.
All its efforts to stay upright
Have been all in vain.

Now it lays in a crumpled heap.
Its creator leaves it be.
Left to rot and become one with the earth,
What more can it do?

Forsaken, broken, unloved by its creator.
Left to die and rot unseen,
Such is the way of life
Deep in the forest.

A/N: Rather metaphorical for me, eh? I was kind of proud of it. I said what I wanted without flat out saying it and getting in trouble with my dad, which is who I had in mind while writing this. Anyway, hope you liked it.
