The clouds cleared slowly like fragile boats blown off course. Slowly she shut the door behind her listening as its clang echoed through the building below. The light gently spilt onto the rooftop making her skin tingle and glow ethereally it gave her a hope she knew was lost to her. Carefully she lowered herself dangling her legs over the top of the building , even now traffic was humming causing the city to struggle back to life. At least they could return. Silently she mourned for a past she couldn't remember. A single crystal drop left her face exploding onto a passing vehicle, whisked away. Forever. Still silent she roused herself she'd better move they'd come to find her soon, trying to force her mind into alien patterns. For a moment she paused if it was so alien, so hostile why did it feel like coming home to the family she'd never had?
