"Night-Writer"

Off in the distance, the moon glows boldly in the night sky
Predators might consider it to be too bold
And they curse the moon as their prey scurries off.
However, the moon provides the best light for the writer
He sits outside scratching his quill over the parchment
He has to work by the moonlight for his candlelight burnt out
He continues to write until the clouds cloud over the moon
Or until his eyes give way
Occassionally the writer sees a prey scuttle by
Thankful for the bold light of the moon
