The charm on her neck glows brighter
As mortality keeps slipping further.
She knew this day in time would come
When he would give up the one he loved
To a world dark as the night,
Filled with all its deathly frights.
Before she slips into her world unknown,
She feels his love for her has grown.
Yet in return she cannot feel;
Her world allows no love that is real.
Before she returns to dark Demiss,
She seals his lips with a kiss.
"Though I shall not return,
I shant forget the things I've learned.
You taught me the ways of the good-
Things I never understood."
Silently she turns to go,
While through dark eyes, sorrow shows.
As love for them cannot be,
So it be for you and me.
A/N: I'm sorry that was so sad! I wrote this years ago and I found it the other night and thought I'd post it for you guys to read.
I wrote it while I was on the phone with a guy I was dating at the time. He would go into these loooooong monologues about God-only-knows and since I had time to kill (since he was repeating a monologue I'd heard before) I figured I'd write a little. Heh, little did I know I was foretelling our future. shrugs Ah, well, I'm happier now anyway. ^_^
