Lance glanced to his right. She looked so pretty, staring out through the black tinted window. The purple dress of velvet material had fitted her perfectly. She was fingering the blue stone that hung from around her neck. Not a stain of makeup was found on her face. He remembered she never liked them much.
"You're making a habit of it today." She said. A smile formed on her lips.
"A habit?" he said, arching an eyebrow. He couldn't help smiling himself.
"Where are you taking me exactly?" she asked, when he gave no other retort. Her eyes lingered on the road ahead, unmoved.
"It's a secret." Lance said, casually. A playful spirit lit up his eyes.
"You must have some idea." She remarked, sarcastically. She had rested her chin on her hand, her elbow rested on the knees of her crossed legs. Her soft brown eyes chivvy him for an answer. He gave it some thought.
"Alright." He said, finally. Cherish waited for his reply in supposed anticipation. Her playful smile dimmed a little when she saw his face becoming . . . serious.
"I am going to kidnap you." His eyes darkened slowly.
Her heart stopped. He moved closer. His voice came barely above a whisper.
"I want to take you away from the world you know and take you into mine."
She breathed a little easier, though her heart began beating faster. She knew it was simply raillery. Given that, she couldn't help feeling effete.
"I'm going to make you my captive."
She couldn't take her eyes off his.
"I'm the evil villain that takes you away from your family and I'll make sure they never find you again."
His muted blue eyes darkened with each second he leans closer. Her face flushed, she could feel her cheeks heated. Lance fingered stray strands away from her face, tucking them neatly behind her ears.
"Can I keep you?" he whispered slowly, with sudden uncertainty. Cherish couldn't help feeling tickled by the question.
"Does a kidnapper have to ask?" she said to her own hands, taken into his.
He cupped her face, forcing her eyes to meet his again. A silent bond form between them, as her soft brown hazel eyes melt in his dark sapphire eyes.
Darkness embalms her, as she felt their lips engage in warm embrace.
