"Why do you have to be so difficult Kristianne?!" Alex roared as he slapped her. Kris whimpered as her hazel green eyes filled with tears.
"I'm so sorry Alex, I just forgot." Kris sobbed. Alex sighed and sat down beside her and wrapped his arms around her.
"You know I hate hurting you babe, but you have to learn how to obey." Alex said as he tucked a stray strand of her layered light brown hair behind her ear.
"I know, I'm so sorry." Kris whispered as she buried her face in his chest.
"It's okay. I swear that this is the last time that I'll hurt you." Alex promised as he kissed the top of her head. Kris nodded and closed her eyes.
A week later
"You are such a stubborn b**ch!" Alex shouted as he slammed her on the wall. Kris whimpered as he slapped her.
"Alex, please! My parents delayed me!" Kris pleaded.
"Yah right! Those are all excuses! It's all crap!" Alex shouted before he punched her. Kris sobbed harder as she clutched her stomach wanting the pain end.
"Get out before I kill you!" Alex growled before Kris stood up painfully and left. She entered her house and entered her room slamming the door shut behind her. She dragged her self into the shower and pulled off her clothes. She let the water wash away her tears and blood, wash away her pain and sadness. for now.
"Ey Kris! You there?!" Kevin Mitchell, her older brother by two years, asked as he knocked on her door.
"What do you want?" Kris asked with a sigh as she opened the door.
"Jeez, you look like you came from hell." Kevin exclaimed as he eyed her weary expression with his soft honey brown colored eyes.
"I'm just really tired, Kev." Kris said as she sat on her bed and closed her eyes.
"Are you okay?" Kevin asked softly as he closed her door behind him.
"Yah." Kris lied as she gave him a small smile, a smile that didn't reach her eyes.
"Kris do you-" Tom Carmichael started as he stuck his head into her room.
"Hey Tom." Kevin said as he smiled at his best friend.
"Hey Kev, Kris." Tom greeted as he entered the room.
"Hey." Kris said softly as she closed her eyes.
"Are you okay?" Tom asked softly, concern showing in his hazel blue green eyes.
"Yah." Kris lied.
"We better go Tom, the others are waiting for us." Kevin said.
"Okay. Bye Kris, take care of yourself." Tom said before he followed Kevin out of the room.
Once Tom and Kevin when in the car, Kevin faced Tom.
"Do you have a thing for my sister or something?" Kevin asked as he ran a hand through his spiky dark brown hair.
"No." Tom said as he started the engine.
"So what was that all about?" Kevin asked.
"We've grown pretty close if you haven't noticed and she told me that I'm like one of her closest guy friends and I told her that she's like one of my close girl friends." Tom said with a shrug before he sped out of the drive way.
"Sure, whatever you say." Kevin said with a smirk.
"What?! Don't you believe me?" Tom asked defensively.
"Of course I do. Kevin said with a laugh before he popped in a CD.
