Kris cautiously entered Madison's bed room, and slowly sat down beside her.
"What do you want?" Madison asked softly, hurt and disbelief evident in her voice, her teary eyes cast down. Kris bit her lip nervously guilt filling her heart,
"Mads... I'm so sorry... I didn't mean to make it sound like that, but I wasn't lying. I just really don't want you to get hurt..." Kris said softly as she played with her hands. She glanced at Madison's face and saw tears streaming down. Kris hugged Madison who tried to push her away but in the end gave way and burst into tears, burying her face in Kris' shoulder.
"I'm so sorry Mads, I didn't mean to hurt you." Kris said as she rubbed Madison's back. Madison just continued to cry, as she mumbled incoherent words.
An hour or so later Kris left Madison's room and sighed before heading towards her brother's room. She was shocked to see him sitting by the window smoking a joint.
"What are you doing?" Kris asked shakily, breaking the silence that once filled the room. Kevin turned around to face her, shock on his face. He quickly threw the joint to the floor and stomped it with his foot before facing her once more.
"What are you doing here, Kris?" Kevin asked as he slowly walked towards her. Kris backed away from him, disbelief in her eyes.
"I can't believe you Kevin... how can you do this to yourself?!" Kris screamed in frustration as she pushed him away from her. Kevin stumbled slightly from the impact of her push. Once he had regained his balance, he looked at her and snarled.
"How can I do this to myself, you ask? WELL I DO IT BECAUSE I CAN! This is MY life Kris and I DON'T need you interfering with it!" Kevin spat causing tears of pain and anger to fill Kris' eyes.
"I'm just trying to watch out for you Kevin! I'm not about to just stand by and watch you kill yourself!" Kris screamed as her tears freely streamed down her face.
"I am NOT killing myself! Just leave me alone Kristiane! I don't need your help!" Kevin roared causing Kris to flinch.
"Fine." Kris hissed before she ran out of the room.
