~* So how goes my readers? This is the conclusion to the MoonWalkers trilogy, at least I hope it is, since I cannot be trusted when it comes to ideas, for they randomly pop into my head and become plots. Ah well, I mean I wanted to write a third part, but what I had in mind was a creature that went around killing council members, and that it was up to Aris to save them from it. And that's a good plot, and I had some of the stuff worked out, like Tide would get better and stuff in the last one to lead into this one, but then at Thanksgiving, we were over a friend's house. My younger brother was playing their Playstation 2, cause face it, he's a junkie and they owned Jak II, and Mike just had to play it. I love Jak and Daxter, and want Jak II myself, so I found myself watching him play (though he sucked, and I was so much better, and I'm not lying), and while he did so, the craziest idea for the plot came to me thanks to the graphics of that game, and my writing took a 180. And so here I am with this ficcie. This part of the trilogy is a little more interesting, at least to me, and I have to say ahead of time that there is a very sad part later in the story. Hope you like this one as much as I do! Grab a piece of-hmm-grab a pretzel (don't think I've mentioned that one before) and enjoy! Remember to R+R peeps!*~

" Aris-help!"

I jumped up from the seat and ran after him, down that long tunnel of darkness. Following Beam, who was steadily taking Tide from me further and further into the dark void. With each step I took, my feet felt more and more lead-like until finally I stopped. The shadows swarmed around me like a dark cloak, and my knees hit the blackness.

" Tide-where are you?" I cried, beating my fists on the ebony surroundings, my voice echoing down. He had disappeared from my sight; I could no longer sense him. Try as I could to reach him, I couldn't, he just kept getting pulled from my reach. All that kept echoing was his calling my name over and over.

" Aris!" The taunting, the way I kept reaching for nothing infuriated me. I screamed.

And bolted awake. Sweat was beading on my forehead and I felt like I was going to cry. It had been a few days since Beam took Tide, but I had been having the same nightmare over and over. Each night I had the dream, I got closer and closer to Tide, but each time he was sucked up into that black hole, lost forever. I would take that dream to mean something, but my head hurt too much for me to even attempt to interpret it.

The voice had not come all this time, but I did remember the Lady coming to me in a dream telling me that my job was done, and that she appreciated my work. Who cared about work when I had lost Tide?

Slowly my eyes adapted to the darkness of my room. Quietly I got up, and changed, my mind not functioning properly. All thoughts of the future, and the past hurt. It was all I could do to focus on the present.

As I walked down the sweeping stairs, I glanced over at my brother who was sitting on the couch quietly, watching my every move like a hawk. He knew better than to ask, for he knew what was troubling me. Deimos was there when I came bolting out of Tide's room. He knew what had awoken me. Lady's blood he even heard me scream. The first few nights he had been there to comfort me, like he always had when we were little, and I accepted it gratefully. But when it had become too regular, I told him not to lose sleep over me and to let me work it out. He finally acquiesced, after many arguments on his behalf. However, Deimos never failed to be sitting on that couch when I awoke.

" Aris, you feeling okay?" He asked as I sat down next to him, studying his concerned face.

" I guess so. I'm alive and awake, right? So I guess so."

He took this answer with dignity, and sighed. His tanned face was lined with worry, and his dark eyes spoke to support this. Many of our relatives pointed out how much alike we looked, and if he wasn't born a year and a half earlier than I that we would be almost twins. That was laughable, since we both had our unique looks.

" Deimos," I began, but he silenced me with a hand.

" Aris, I know what's on your mind, so I did a little research."

I stared at Deimos. He wasn't making sense to me. Then again, I was still a little tired from just waking up, and I had a killer headache.

" Yes?"

" And I found a few things out." He smiled at me, taking a breath. " Beam has taken Tide to another dimension. It is a parallel world to ours, but they are far more advanced, and live in a far more dangerous world. The good news is that I can get you there, the bad news is that you could die trying to get there, die there, and that Tide might have already through the travel." His words took a moment to sink in, but I understood him. Would I take the chance? Of course I would.

" How long will it take you to get all the parts together?" I asked, thinking to myself what I would need to bring.

Deimos sighed, and pursed his lips. " That was what I am afraid of. You deciding to go without a hesitation."

I grinned, and hugged him. " But I know you back me up."

" All the way sis. If I'm right, I can send you off tomorrow."

My eyes widened in surprise. " Tomorrow?"

" Yes tomorrow. Go pack now, and we'll send you to the other dimension tomorrow afternoon."

With a second hug, I ran up the stairs, backpack slung over my shoulder, running over what I had originally decided to pack.

~* What did you think for the beginning? Review please, cause I would like to know what you think of my plot, and such and such. Aris' character changes drastically because of Tide's run in with Solaris, and she's a lot nicer too, but still a kick ass girl with a cold attitude. Warning, there's a new character up ahead, aka *cough* new love interest *cough cough*. Don't worry about Tide, he's gonna show his head later on. And just so you don't ask " What happened to your insane obsession with Kevin Clark?" The new character is also modeled after the hot blonde drummer. Though I am quite fond of Gregory Smith, the guy who plays Ephram on Everwood, though I've only seen that show twice, no joke. Okay okay, I think he's hot too, but Kevvy's my main Chicago born man( quote on quote from the Kevin pledge that Bizzy-izzy my buddy wrote!) Until the next chappie!*~
