I have a problem- doesn't everyone? We can't escape them, but one girl's runs deeper.
Long black hair trailed behind her as she ran down the dark sidewalk, tears flowing from her blue eyes. She ran; to get away from everyone she thought were her friends, but in the end never cared for her.
Earlier she had overheard people talking. It sounded as if her family and her friends were there, except her. She was upstairs. The sounds were muffled. She was curious, and decided to investigate, but as she entered the den, everyone froze and stared at her. Then her mother and father came to her, and pushed her off upstairs, only saying that it was past her bedtime. On her way upstairs, Jenny began to cry. Her parents never pushed her out of a room so fast before.
"I hate you." she whimpered through her tears. Just then her little fists tightened and in a second everyone in the living room stopped at the sound of the door slamming shut.
Now, here she was, running. Blinded by tears, Jenny couldn't see where she was going-nor did she care. As she began to cross a wide intersection, a car started to go, the green light just flashed. Suddenly, the car hit the brakes. At the sound of a horn honking, and screeching tires, Jenny stopped to see what was happening. Bright white lights suddenly filled her tear-filled eyes. Then everything went black.

In fields of green meadows, flowers bloomed uncontrollably, humans and animals played together without a care, here in the big meadow of lush green life. Here, they were far away from the evil of sin and death. In the distance, a cliff overlooking the entire land, on the edge of that cliff was a young girl standing, like she was waiting for someone. But there was something strange about the girl -she was ghostly with glittering eyes sparkling against the sun and long black hair swaying in the breeze.
This beautiful place was not connected with the world. It was where the people of old come when they die, from battle to simply old age.
The quiet peace was suddenly disrupted, when two other ghostly figures appeared behind her.
"Why are you two here? There are many other people that need your help more than I," stated the girl with her back turned.
"We are here because you should not be," said the arc angel Gabriel.
"You are a very lucky girl to have many friends, willing to do anything for you, even if they can't see you," said the female angel.
The girl laughed, "I suppose you're going to tell me that these true friends I have, will never give up."
The two angels turned serious. "We are going to send you back. People in your world do actually care for you, but you must see it for yourself," said Gabriel.
"Impossible!" said the girl stunned, "I can't go back! I don't even have a body!"
"That's why we're here," the angels said together as they raised their hands. The empty space started to glow. When the glow died, there stood the real body of Jennifer Armara, including dark, empty blue eyes.
The ghostly Jenny walked up to the vessel, touching the cold face and hair. Pearl-like teardrops fell from sparkled eyes.
"Why did you bring this? This only reminds me of the past, how people don't need me. Now leave me alone, in peace." shouted Jenny, staring at the angels.
"But people do need you. You are a part of them, as they are a part of you. As for your body, once we give a part of our infinite energy to your body, you can reenter and return to your world." said Gabriel calmly.
"I'll see my friends again," said Jenny overjoyed, instantly forgetting about her problems.
With those words, Jenny's mortal body began glowing and the ghostly Jenny stepped forward into the light and disappeared.
She opened her eyes, she found she was in her mind. She could see everything that had happened to her: her past, her friends, how they abandoned her, and even her death when she tried to run away. Then she saw what brought meaning to her life. Everything that gave her the smallest amounts of faith and trust; her friends, and all the adventures they shared, hanging out, having fun. These memories were giving her life.
Jenny closed and opened her eyes to find she was standing on the street where she was hit, however, there was no accident. She smiled. She was where she belonged, and alive. She had her friends and family to thank. It was their friendship that brought this miracle. She ran home, remembering that tomorrow was her 11th birthday.
