Cautiously she slipped out onto the balcony. Winds cut and stung her skin causing her hair to billow like a bloody haze, the same one that occupied most of her mind until even that had been lost to her. Shaking the thoughts from her she tried to remember why she had come out here. The moon shone down with a primal brilliance that filled her with an un-paralleled joy. The fine drizzle began to soak her, glistening on her naked skin as it cast midnight rainbows on this existence. Raising her arms above her head she opened her slender palms to the sky and rejoiced in her fleeting happiness.
A metallic bang greeted her from inside the building. The rejoice faded, light faded and sadness filled her again as reality threatened her mere being.
