Mirror
When I look in the mirror
I see an image I don't know
I see cold granite eyes that shut everyone out each time they blink
I see light brown freckles that are put up as a shield
I see dark crimson lips that spew hate each time they move
I see a rock hard jaw that warns outsiders to keep away
I see someone full of sadness and pain
I see someone too afraid to admit it
I see someone who I no longer wish to be
Now when I look in the mirror
I see someone who I do want to be
I see deep blue eyes that invite people in everytime they blink
I see sweet brown freckles that welcome others
I see subtle pink lips that project honesty whenever they speak
I see a friendly jaw that tells outsiders they're welcome
I see someone full of joy and hope
That isn't afraid to admit it
I see someone who I will always want to be
Now and forever
