It all started in Roswell, New Mexico, when an alien spacecraft crashed into Earth. For the first time, the Aquuan race had been discovered, although the people did not know of it. On the year 2002, a giant asteroid was heading towards planet earth, said to reach by 2014 scientists saying there was a slim chance it would hit. By the year 2009, they stated they were wrong, and that the only chance we had to survive was to try to destroy it, or to take colonists to Mars. Due to the war of 2007, the space programs of all countries were lost, leaving only one other solution of trying to destroy it.
Scientists were lucky that day. It was that day when first contact was made with the Aquuan race, and they landed once again in Roswell, New Mexico. It was then, when they granted us the plasma-magnet technology, or plasmag, as it is called. It allowed space travel again, even further than the current limits before the war of 2007.
The people felt hopeful again, with a chance that they may be able to survive the asteroid crash. When a rocket was sent toward it, it failed. With the new plasmag technology, the governments of all the major countries decided to put massive orbiting colonies in space to save the people they could.
In order for the people to earn their way to the colonies, they had to pay for it. Only those in the high class, or the "rich" middle class could afford, leaving three-fourths of the population stuck on earth.
The year 2014, and the asteroid smashed into earth, but it was not where the scientists expected. It landed in the Pacific Ocean, sending a massive tsunami that flooded all of the coastal cities nearby. But that was the worst of the damage, or so people thought. -Robert Hemford "A History of Pre-Asteroid Earth
A/N: This is my latest story, originally to be co-written with Agent Slayer. But I had to go solo with things. It's just the prologue for now, and it might be for a while because I have "Dragons of the Dern" to work on, and "Medallion" to finish. It is copyright by me, my original work. No one better steal it, or I have the power to sue. I think.
