When I find it harder to happy than it should be
I explore the world with my mind

I imagine the shades of crystallized salt lakes
A kaleidoscope of colour twisting through spheres of tone before my eyes
As the sun forges ahead on it's quest to light the surface.

I imagine the feel of the cold, clear wind in Tibet
Washing away my sins and freeing me of the burdens I have created
Like catholic confession in a candlelit church.

I imagine the sound of the waves breaking calm on distant shores
Hearing the whisper of the sea as it caresses the shoreline
All my imaging's throwing into sharper relief the apparent distance of my
happiness.

I look at the multicoloured bangles on my wrist
And smile;
Small pleasures
In such a vast world.
