"When I loved thee"

Lets just say that one of these days you shall see
That an inch of your heart inclined for me.

Swaying in the sun with nothing in mind
Asking for a hand taking in kind.

A loving smile should grace the land
Hiding my emotions entomb deep in the sand.

Find it you wouldn't
And love me you simply couldn't.

But I'll never regret our first meet
And yet another time I joined the love fleet.

Close to me you once were
While far away my insides presume to purr.

And I'll go on living not knowing were you grace
And I'll go on living daring not to leave breadcrumbs to trace.

No you won't be the one that I will marry,
Nor your child I should carry.

But pleased with another beau
He should be giving me the gift of glow.

My heart will wonder why you still float there
My head will ask, "why the hell do I still care?"

I should be able to let loose and let you be
I can deal with the fact that you may never have taken an interest upon me.

But the heart is an annoyingly stubborn indeed
Refusing to partake onto another feed.

Damn this feeling and it's Hubble double crap
But I'm not the type to take pity upon myself and weep in a lap.

And I'll go on living not knowing were you grace
And I'll go on living daring not to leave breadcrumbs to trace.
