Shopping Day
I bought sausages, eggs and ham
Bread, butter, milk and jam
Beans, ketchup, ice cream too
I bought all these just for you
I went to the bakery and bought a pie
I thanked the man and waved goodbye
I went to the butchers to buy some meat
Chicken, lamb and trotters feet
There you stood all skin and bone
You had no food and were all alone
I plodded along with my excess weight
Pie in hand, this is fate
You took it from my hands with grace
And then you threw it in my face L
