That Gentleman
lonely man sits there barren nights
when the sun falls down in defeat
wondering why he is drawn there
then remembers the emptiness
empty chairs in the empty room
room that was once filled with laughter
room that was once filled with a song
that echoed the proverbs of friends
that dance along shadows within
he can hear them now so distant
and chants with those silent voices
awaiting the day his heart stops
and brings life to his soul once more
