Lara's birthday was on the thirteenth of June

To her parents, it had come just a little too soon

They went to the circus, just down the road

The last they would see of their humble abode

Not knowing what lay before them that night

They purchased the tickets to observe the sight

They bought a purple spotted balloon

On this wonderful day of the thirteenth of June

They sat in their seats, amidst the crowd

The ringmaster entered and yelled out loud

"Ladies and Gentlemen, girls and boys"

But no one could hear him, above all the noise

The family sat back, to enjoy the show

To see what was happening in the arena below

On came the music of a well-known tune

On this wonderful day of the thirteenth of June

When the show ended, they went to the car

But they didn't know they weren't going far

The car veered over, toward the right

They realised this was their last ever night

A man that happened to be passing by

Saw one thing drifting into the sky

It was the beautiful purple spotted balloon

On this disastrous day of the thirteenth of June
