I felt like I was going to burst; like somebody was filling me up with water and I was going to leak or explode. That's what it was. That's how I felt. Like all the weight of water was going to come down on me and crush my eyes and nose. At least then I wouldn't be able to see what was staring up at me.

"I. . ."

The words fumbled out of my mouth almost like seafoam and stopped. Who was I talking to, anyways? Nobody, I guess. This wasn't suppose to happen. Things like this never happened but it did.

It just did.

Standing there, I realized I didn't know where I was but in the back of my mind. Standing there, I realized my mistake and I realized that you can't re-write mistakes. Nobody can and as I dropped to my knees, I closed my eyes and counted to ten.

For now, I'll just be a stone in that lake.
