You are standing in the room right now. You can see that you are in a small, circular room with cold grey stone walls. Your feet are sinking into the deep red velvet carpet as you make your way towards the big mahogony bed with velvet red draperies that you and your sister Nozanartreth sleep in. You lie down on the soft bed and feel yourself sinking into the mattress. you don't want to get up.
Finally you get up and look to the opposite side of the room. There's a small window up on the side of the roof. From it come blinding sunlight, hitting straight at the bed, illuminating the dazzling golden unicorns and dragons stitched onto the red velvet draperies of the bed.
On the wall on the opposite side of the room, is a huge, tall mirror with a heavy and elaborated golden frame making the mirror look wider than it already is. Next to the mirror is a small three-legged wooden stool with a wooden bowl sitting on the top of it, filled with misty water.
Nozanartreth walks to the front of the mirror and sits down, cross-legged onto the velvet floor. "Come, help me with my hair, Leridie!" She calls out to you.
You walk over to your sister and sit down behind her. You take her thick, dark, silky brown hair into your hands, and it feels like liquid to you. "Ok. Do you want me to make you a braided tiara?" You ask.
"Yes!" Nozanartreth replies impatiently. You always ask the same question, and you always get that same answer. You are the twin sister of Nozanartreth. Your element is also Fire, and you can't wait for your special Ember Sword either. Unlike your twin sister, you have wavy and long red hair, which you are very proud of. It's naturally ringletted at the tips, so all it needs to look good is to be left down.
You take two sections of Nozanartreth's hair, from the fronts of the sides of her face, and start braiding each of them. Then you pull the brown braids to the back of her head and tie the braids together with a little daisy flower you had picked from the Garden and stuck into your pocket this morning. "There we go.. all finished." You say with a huge smile on your face. "You owe me one!"
"Alright then," She lifts herself up and twirls around trying to see the back of her hair through the mirror. "Sit in front of me and let me brush your hair." You drag yourself to the front of the mirror and Nozanartreth plops down behind you. She takes your wooden brush, embroidered with silver flowers on the back, pure silver, and dips the teeth into the Misty Water on the stool.
Misty Water is magical water that makes hair look brighter and shinier, especially in the beautiful sunlight this autumn.. since it is October. Nozanartreth slides the wet brush through each section of your hair, untill it is extremely smooth. You take out a daffodil from your pocket and hand it to her. She puts the daffodil into your hair at the side of your face, and adjusts it so tt looks nice. She stands back and sighs.
"Oh how I wish I had beautiful hair like yours!" She says in awe.
"But you do," you reply. "You're hair is -" you are interrupted by a loud knock on the heavy wooden door. You stand up and walk over to the door. You slowly pull it open and see the shadow of the face of your mother, Queen Zinidinuaa, who had just walked up the long flight of cold stone spiral staircase. The stairs are a very dark place to be, and you and Thortranzan are scared of going through it at night.
"Leridie, you and Nozanartreth are to come down to the Banquet Hall because a young lad by the name of Niihopor Huckle is to see you about something very important. He looks like an outsider." Zinidinuaa says quietly and seriously.
"Ok we'll be right down." Says Nozanartreth obediantly, fixing her hair.
"Your hair looks fine!" You say, in an annoyed voice. Nozanartreth always tried to look her best when there are young men around. "Now come on!" You quickly walk back to the mirror, grab Nozanartreth's arm and pull her towards the wooden door. You both go down the cold, stone spiral staircase, and at the bottom you see some more blinding sunlight.
The door of the castle is open.. and you can see King Rihatanek sitting in the Little Garden (right beside the castle, a small garden of colourful, bright wildflowers.) he is reading a book made from copper pages and a bronze cover, (very heavy to carry around) that was given to him by his father, who died when the King was only 7 years old. The thick book still hasn't been finished reading even though it's been years and years.
You smile to yourself and you and Nozanartreth make your way into the banquet hall.
