Galloping along,
I gracefully
leap over small
plants,
and advoid the
large ones.
Slowing down,
I stop at a creek
to take a drink;
a small child
on the other side
stares wide eyed.
Delicately
I step over
the water to
stand
next to
the child.
Tentatively she
reaches a tiny
hand up
to stroke my
white
glossy coat.
Kneeling down,
I look
into her large green
eyes with my own
soft brown ones.
Feeling safe
she climbs up
on my back.
Standing I
gallop away into
the forest.
She makes no sound
yet I feel
her heart
pound.
Her tiny
hands
tangle themselves
in my white mane.
I canter back to the
creek;
she slips off my back
and skips
along the water,
pleased to have
had a ride
on a unicorn.
Turning, I
gallop away,
gracefully
leaping over small
plants,
and advoiding the
large ones.
