The crickets chirp here in the dark moist night,
And the palm leaves sway in the gentle breeze.
A silent silhouette against moonlight,
She stands amongst the giant ancient trees.
The rivers flows by at a steady pace,
Ign'rant of discordance of sloth pause.
Unaware of the beauty of her face,
It carries on, relentless, without cause.
She reigns this oasis of solitude,
Tropical queen in a dark forever.
Eternity in silent sanctitude,
She blossoms in this endless endeavor.
She is strength, faith, light, even though peerless,
She is prayer, she is breath, she is fearless.
